18–20 June 2026 | Natural Building Course | with Németh János | 3 days | Fees starting from 1100 RON
We explore both the theoretical foundations of natural building and their practical application, through examples and hands-on exercises focused on cob techniques.
This course focuses on ecological renovation. It is designed for those who wish to renovate responsibly, improve indoor climate, or transform conventional buildings into healthy and sustainable living spaces.
The training combines approximately 50% theory and 50% applied practice.

What the course covers
- Principles of healthy and sustainable renovation
- Ecological finishes for conventional buildings
- Clay plasters and natural surface treatments
- Humidity regulation and breathable wall systems
- Thermal efficiency through natural materials
- Accessible and efficient ecological solutions
- Transforming existing structures into responsible homes
Natural materials are powerful due to their ability to regulate humidity, insulate, and create interiors that are both healthy and aesthetically harmonious.
Immediately after this course (21–23 June 2026), a specialized training dedicated to hempcrete construction (hemp and lime) will take place, offering continuity and deeper exploration for those who wish to further develop their understanding of natural materials.
Practice
Participants will work hands-on with clay preparation and application, surface finishes, and practical renovation solutions within the living context of Ermitaj Malin.
Learning takes place through direct practice, grounded in regenerative building principles.
Trainer
Németh János
President of the Coliba Verde Association and administrator of the platforms casedinlut.ro, casedinbalotidepaie.ro and casenaturale.ro, Németh János has over 16 years of experience in construction and has been working exclusively with ecological materials since 2011.
He has become a recognized expert in building and renovating with clay, straw bales and other sustainable materials. Through consultancy, training and on-site practice, he promotes healthy, efficient and energy-independent homes.
For János, a house is not just a structure, but a living shelter that supports independence, health and joy.
A complementary course
Immediately after this course, from 21–23 June 2026, Ermitaj Malin will host a related thematic course on hemp-based natural construction, led by Ovanes Chodzakar.
Participants interested in deepening their use of natural materials and ecological building techniques are encouraged to consider attending both courses.
Together, the two trainings offer a broader perspective on regenerative building practices.
