18–20 June 2026 | Ermitaj Malin, Romania
In June 2026, Ermitaj Malin hosts a three-day natural building course with Németh János, pioneer in ecological construction in Romania.
This course focuses on ecological renovation. It is dedicated to those who want to renovate responsibly, improve indoor climate, or transform conventional buildings into healthy and sustainable living spaces.
The training combines approximately 50% theory and 50% hands-on practice.

What the Course Covers
- Principles of sustainable and healthy renovation
- Ecological finishing of conventional buildings
- Clay plasters and natural surface treatments
- Moisture regulation and breathable wall systems
- Thermal efficiency through natural materials
- Affordable and accessible ecological solutions
- Transforming existing structures into responsible homes
Natural materials are powerful for regulating, insulating, and aesthetically creating healthy interiors.
Practical Work
Participants will engage in hands-on clay preparation and application techniques, surface finishing, and practical renovation solutions within the living context of Ermitaj Malin.
This is learning by doing, grounded in regenerative building principles.
The Trainer
Németh János
President of the Coliba Verde Association and administrator of casedinlut.ro, casedinbalotidepaie.ro and casenaturale.ro, Németh János has over 16 years of experience in construction and has specialised exclusively in ecological materials since 2011.
He has become a recognised expert in natural renovation and building using clay, straw bale, and other sustainable materials. Through consulting, teaching, and practical building, he promotes healthy, efficient, and off-grid homes.
For János, a house is not merely a structure but a living shelter that supports independence, health, and joy.
A Complementary Course
Immediately following this training, from 21–23 June 2026, Ermitaj Malin will host a thematically connected course on hemp-based natural construction with Ovanes Chodzakar.
Participants interested in deepening their understanding of natural materials and ecological building techniques are encouraged to consider attending both courses.
Together, the two trainings provide a broader perspective on regenerative construction practices.
Who This Course Is For
This course is open to:
- People interested in natural building and ecological renovation
- Homeowners planning renovations
- Architects, designers, and builders exploring sustainable alternatives
- Permaculture practitioners and eco-builders
Participants should be comfortable with practical outdoor work.
The course will be confirmed once the minimum number of participants is reached.
